Sinterklaas arrives in Amsterdam

We went down and watched Sinterklaas parade through Amsterdam with all of his helpers - it was quite an experience!

All the floats we pulled by tractors...and wooden horses!
Helpers galore
The helpers were very busy going up and down chimneys, but nice enough to stop for a photo op.
That's a little tiny truck, full of big presents!

Busy Weekend

We made Vida a Texas Sheet Cake for her 7th birthday!
Wendy Clark came for a visit too! So nice to see friends on this side of the pond.

This is Milo's favorite old-fashioned car in our neighborhood - every time we ride by it (multiple times a day) he yells, "Old-fashioned!"
Lanterns for St. Maartens or in our case...to add to the birthday celebration
Making cakes in the park!

Cousin Vida in the house!!

We were thrilled to have Auntie Linda and cousin Vida come for a visit - Milo showed Vida all around Amsterdam - tour de bucket-bike!

Ice pops - Milo wanted to make homemade ice pops - success.

Milo wanted a space suit to travel in his rocket-tent, this is what we pieced together, mod-Astronaut.

Lee and Clair!

Milo loves him some Lee and Clair - happiest in a Milo sandwich.

Fireman's outfit on the go.

Yes that is a Texas Sheet Cake with Pecans ... we made it for Lee and Clair's bday celebration!
Another masterpiece by Milo in the kitchen.
One last Paris photo - feeding the ducks and watching the sail boats in Luxembourg Garden.

Autumn in Paris

Milo would like to move into Palais Royal permanently, not for the shwanky palace or the beautiful garden - he wants to run, jump and climb the b/w stripes all day, everyday.

Driving dad around in the old-fashioned trolly and curisin mom in the convertible.

Good Times

A rest after a good game of chase with bunny and dog.
Making Cowboy cookies with mom - they were gooooood.

Sweet Patty Cater came to visit - we had the best time, so good, we managed not to take any pictures until her 7am cab call to the airport. We love you Patty.
Milo's first ever school lunch. Milo is staying full days at school on Tues/Wed...my heart skipped a few beats when I realized I was packing the first lunch...oh time.

At last, BOWLING in Amsterdam

PURE BLISS - Milo's so in his element in the Alley!
Ramzy, Raya and Samira joined us on our bowling adventure - it was their initiation into the fabulous world of bowling.
Milo coached mom and dad, every roll!

Very focused, VERY good bowler. Milo was thrilled to find out there was an actual alley in Amsterdam...to enhance his 6 bowling sets we have at home...much to our neighbors dismay.

Daily life

Asleep in the bucket-bike, it really is genius.
Saturday flowers from the market

Our first car rental, Milo was thrilled to be back in the car, absolutely loved it, is still talking about his blue car.
One of Milo's current passions is Old Fashioned Cars - his obsession with old/new has moved from buildings to cars - he can spot an old one faster than we can.

Bloemendaal - the Dutch beach

Milo the nature boy was in heaven - 3+ hours of nonstop stand, water and free running...we wish summer wasn't over here, but it is!

Our 12th Wedding Anniversary

It was a perfect day. We spent the entire day in the park, picnic with friends, Milo fell asleep about 5pm, so he napped and we ate at one of our favorite restaurants, Comptoir, then a late night at the Eiffel Tower - goodness.

I had to post this shot - shall we call it - Joe wrapped in my coloring...TWINS, the facial expression are EXACT!

For all of you who know Milo so well...you are wondering...why is he keeping his clothes on...he didn't, it took about 10 minutes to warm up to the new crowd and he was naked until clothes were needed to enter the play ground!

Loveliness.
