Jardin d'Acclimatation - Paris

Amusement park initiation - big time success. Milo loved the car/truck ride - he rode the tractor, fire truck, convertible, old fashioned car...and so on.
Loved it - is almost an understatement.
Break through "sharing" moment - Milo shared the cars 3 times with other kids...sharing is finally paying off!

Versailles

Mr. Comfort in the metro station, ready to experience the grand scale of Versaille.
A beautiful fall day in a perfect garden.
We went with our dear friend Patty that housed us while in Paris - merci beaucoup Patty. The Murakami exhibit was great, the juxtopisition between old and new was well done, but as always the pure scale and scope of Versailles just overwhelms the mind.
Yes those clouds are real.
A peak out one of the windows.

Summer Lovin

Summer has officially past here in Amsterdam - here are a few highlights. As Joe said best - here is Milo confirming 100% he's a Malina, talking with his hands! Letting all the animals on the farm know there is a new farmer in town...that wears vans and cuffed jeans.
Milo is a nature boys - loves the outdoors and animals - he's a natural!
Quick slide before he started his round of feedings - of course he did what all parents cringe at - we bought the goat milk with the extra long nipple and first thing he did was try and put it in his mouth...yummy.
Our tiny balcony now has a purpose - home made easel and our ever so useful kids table/chairs works hard once again.
Milo or Miro?

First day of school

Official "Initiation" in Amsterdam - first day of school, it was cold, rainy and blistery, gearing up to go out - thank God for gear and the bucket-bike. Milo had no clue it was raining, windy or cold.

School uniform and no Vans! "Proper" shoes as the Brits say.
So cute in his uniform, never thought I'd write those words...

Park installation out front of our place is going well - diggers in action

Greg Foley...he's back and we were so glad - his flight wasn't until the afternoon so he came back and shot all these pics for us, then we went to school for 90 minutes and before you know it, we were all eating cake again, a daily past time, perfection.

Boats, bucket-bikes, puddles and Greg Foley!

Our first official guest on Potgieterstraat - Mr. Greg Foley. Headed to do a book reading in Italy, a stop in Amsterdam on the way...we loved it.

Milo's first nap in his bucket bike. This, plus the rain cover make it worth every penny.

Happy days - dad, mom, playgrounds and dogs...and most people think you come here for marijuana and ....

Ready for take off

Locked and loaded...
Milo finally has his own bucket-bike. He is thrilled. In the King's seat as usual.

Sunday cruise on a vintage tram to the forest

It was a rainy Sunday by the time we made it out to the forest - but just beautiful, we are waterproof central.

Can't make those smiles up - perfection.

A tourist day - boat ride and a market

Very deep conversation was had while cruising the canals - is the building old? Is that boat old? Is it vintage? Currently a slight obsession with old vs new
I can't read dutch, especially upside dow...minus the fact I can't read period...
But I can take it apart.

Kiddy Farm

Now this was one big pig...then Joe reminded us of some we saw at the Texas state fair...they grow em big in Texas!
Ahhh, another sandbox full of toys - one of Milo's favorite places is in the sandbox and they come "fully furnished" most of the time...many hours passed in the box.
Gooooooaaaaaattttssss.
As expected, Milo hasn't stopped talking about the tractor since we left...we liked the the living roof.
